I'm looking to buy a softtopper.
If you have one of these, please tell me what you like or don't about your particular top. I'm really leaning to the Outlander because of the side windows.

I am a fan of the Softopper. Fit and finish are good and a big increase in functionality over a Tonneau cover. Let me know if there are any specific questions I can answer.

Softopper for me. Camped in it this weekend under heavy rain and 60mph gusts of wind. Flawless.

I have the Outlander by Agri-Cover. The fit and finish are very good IMO. Install was a breeze by myself and it folds against the cab, which keeps the entire bed open.

The bows that support the top are above the bed rails, rather than inboard of them, like the Softopper. I have a box in the bed and didn’t want to have a clearance complication, so this feature was important to me.

I also think the angles of the topper are the best of the three you have listed. That’s entirely subjective of course, but it matches the rear of the cab perfectly.

Another feature that was very important to me was the ability to close the tailgate one handed. I use the space behind the bed box darn near every day. I didn’t want to be fighting with a multi-step operation to open and close the tailgate each time. The Outlander design is really very good in this regard.

I installed a DIY screen for the rear so I have some ventilation during hot weather camping. It was super easy to do with the way the topper is designed.

My only complaint at this point would be the zipper stops for the side windows. They are sewn loops rather than hard stops. So, if you are in the habit of running the zippers down quickly, it’s been easy to run the zipper right off the bottom. I access the bed from the side from time to time and have had the issue twice.

It only takes a couple minutes to reset them, but it’s a feature that could be improved in my opinion. I’ve tried to deduce why they didn’t use hard stops and can’t see a reason for them not to be there. I’ll just put some on when I have time.

Thanks for the reply. The Outlander definitely does have the best lines. (IMO)
I'm going to wait to see if they will be on sale after Thanksgiving.

Having dealt with soft tops for many years, I specifically went for the Bestop Supertop. I did not want side windows as they scratch and damage easily on the trails, when storing and when installing/removing compared to a blank panel of top fabric. They also start looking bad sooner and are more expensive to replace. Also I didn't want another access point for people to view all of my gear or me sleeping in the back.

I think it depends on what your using it for.

A small difference a lot of people aren't aware of -- Bestop is designed more for storage. Our zippers are located on the outside of the topper only. On the other hand, Softopper is built with camping in mind. Their tops will feature the double sided zipper.
