Hello All,
I have a set of the bestop soft doors. I am looking to mount the optional mirrors to the doors. If I use the plate in the upper part of the door, the mirrors will cover half the Velcro where they attach. I also bought the optional brackets which have the same footprint as the plate on the door but looks like it lowers the mirror down an inch from the Velcro. Any of you that have the soft doors run into this. Not looking to do body mount mirrors at this time.
thanks.

I have them and I was frustrated with this part also. It does work but as you can see it bunches up at that spot. Bestop never responded to me when I complained. Makes no sense why their own mirrors wouldn’t fit properly. The doors work pretty well for what they are and overall it’s nice to have the convenience of them. I also run the CMM mirrors and store them under my seats for when I want to go doorless completely.
Edit: what is the drop down plate you speak of? Sounds like it would help.

When I line up these brackets as instructed the top hole of the bracket catches the bottom hole of the plate and the other two screws clear the plate. End result is the mirror is in the same spot but about an inch lower (not sure if this was meant this way as the instructions don’t mention). Trying to figure this out before I punch a hole through the fabric. What’s interesting is there is another member on here who has the same set up but didn’t use the brackets. His mirrors lines up just fine without interfering with the Velcro. My guess is the wrong interior plates were welded on or the holes were drilled in the wrong spot.

I did not use their mirror. I go the Lange Coyote Mirrors. They stay on with the doors on or off. With the side mirrors from Bestop you still have to put on mirrors when the doors are off.

The Coyote driver's side mirror works with the doors on. I cannot see the passenger side with the door on. BUT it is well worth it to not have to add mirrors when the doors are off.
