I noticed it’s only 7 days long.. they should have about 13,000 23s left then.. probably see what happens in a week.. if the incentive doesn’t get better so much for buying my first Jeep…
So what is this "Goldilocks" deal you are looking for before you buy?

One that gets me into a fun Jeep for my daughter to enjoy but still makes economic sense so we can still pay all her out of pocket medical bills!

I signed on a 2023 Sport S EcoDiesel JT last night before midnight (I was told by them of course it was expiring and maybe they are right but they wanted the sale). Sticker price was 62230.00 - 15% stellantis rebate of 9334.00 - dealer rebate of roughly 10% 6163.00 OTD price of 46733. 25% off and they gave me a great price on a trade In on my daily driver sedan. I’m in Ohio and the dealership is in KY. Fairly easy process with them. Disclaimer on stellantis says must take delivery by February 7. Maybe the rebate is actually ending. Who knows. Those guys were working late last night. Docusign around 11pm.

There are currently new sport models on the market in the mid-30's that would put you at your OTD Ridgeline price. Why not just go pick one of those up?

Made an offer of 30% off msrp on a 22 in a dealer in Kentucky they said no.. looking at a deal for 15% off manufacture 10% dealer disc. And accept the 1k certificate.. nope… need a sport s… prefer power locks windows otherwise basic sport is fine. Maybe I’m nuts on my ideal deal

I dont know about your area, but here those exact trucks your are talking about are still in transit. I have one with all of those features I have been watching that isnt supposed to even land at the dealer until Feb.
The one that I picked up was an early 2023 build special order that someone walked away from due to the fuel pump stop sale. None of the final edition "far out" diesel models had the ACC or front cam--i guess the trail cam is not an option with the matte black grill. Spent more than I wanted to, but I got exactly what I wanted--that's what's important. I hope the truck that arrives February is exactly what you want--and you are able to score it at a great price!!

It sounds like you're more focused on the incentives, as opposed to the truck itself. We're coming into tax refund season, spring buying season and interest rates have stabilized with talk of rate decreases in March. There is a lot of inventory out there, but they are slowly selling it off. I can't see Jeep going any more than 15%--as you have seen with the 2022's sitting out there--they are stubborn and seem to have no issue carrying the inventory. Maybe hold off until after the summer when they will be more motivated as the invert seriously ages out. Either that or possibly just pick up the Ridgeline. Honda builds solid vehicles.........

So basically you are letting a $1K get in the way of the deal?

I think you are playing a game of musical chairs and eventually going to run out of a chair to sit in and wished you got froggy sooner.

I do enjoy a game of musical chairs! I’m not seeing a dealer discount of 10% either in my area.. about 5%… and yes I have zero problems walking from a deal that’s 2k more then I want to spend..

Incentives are great. Inventory is out there. Email or text your offer to about 20 different dealers. Sit back and be ready to laugh at 19 of them. Then go pick up your Jeep at the “1”

I am with Iggy concerning my strategy. The deal may be decent or even better than decent. But I know what the truck is worth to me and I will continue holding where I am. And yes, it could be musical chairs. If I were in the market for a vehicle I needed versus a vehicle I want, I would have pulled the trigger. Right now I am less than $2000 apart on a Mojave with a local dealer. I will keep looking and maybe the dealer Will come back with a better offer. We will see.

No sweat off my back. Everybody entitled to play it how they see fit.

Just been a few new members of late that just seem to enjoy the board comradery of talking about buying vs. actually buying.

I work with guy I have known for 10+ years and always threatens he is on the cusp of buying a new truck and seems to live vicariously through me when I buy a new one and wants to finger it every time he sees it. He is just a tight wad miser.

Hey man, all I've got to say is that if you're basing your car buying decision off of Jeep's corporate management strategy and what raw numbers you can find on a national search, you're gonna have a bad time. After all, this isn't about them, it's about you.

Decide what you want. Negotiate for the best price you can do for your situation. Make the purchase that fits your situation the best. If none fit, don't buy. Don't worry about what a corporation's high-level decision-making process is or how many are for sale in places you won't go. Know your boundaries and respect them. I think you're just adding too much information to your equation that ultimately changes nothing for you. All it does is add confusion and stress.

There are some great deals out there if you really want to buy.

Not a jeep
Also with @Eggy99

I don't need a Gladiator, simply chasing a deal because I have car ADD and will only buy if I can get an unbelievable deal. The chase is half the fun...

15% from Jeep isn't enough at this point with 14k 2023's on lots, and the "dealer experience" doesn't make it any easier. Greater than 30% off MSRP is what I'm willing to bite at, but these dealers are too proud to sell a car that has been on their lot for 300+ days at a significant discount. As usual, 5/10 don't respond to email, the next 3 have <10% discount, and then the one or two with a real discount try to bake in protection packages, etch, freight, etc...

Clearly these things aren't moving but I'm willing to wait, or go without one indefinitely. The deals have to get better.

The current "Presidents' Day Sales Event" runs out Feb 7th, but Presidents' Day isn't until Feb 19th. Surely they'll extend something.
