Hubby bought the subject fender mods. for his 2023 Gladiator.

First hunting trip out, they chipped from rocks (see pictures). He was driving on established dirt roads, nothing gnarly or rocky.

Contacted DBOR about it, response was pretty much a "Too Bad For You".

As expensive as these were, I expected a better response.

Well unless you live in Oz this one line from their refund policy has you screwed before you even started, "If the part has been ordered specifically for your vehicle from overseas." Depending on how long you've had them your Credit Card company might offer some level of warranty and/or charge back, but rocks flipping up and doing damage is probably not going to be covered.

That looks to be way more than just a casual rock being thrown and busting the fiberglass.

Fiberglass really isn't the choice material for a fender flare on an offroad vehicle.

I’m sorry to hear about your experience with your flares. I’ve had mine for two years and they’ve held up well with lots of travel down gravel roads. While fiberglass might not be ideal, it can actually be repaired easily.

Earlier this year, I failed to navigate around a trash can while pulling out and hooked my front passenger flare on it. The flare was subsequently snapped in a less than ideal location. A buddy of mine used to do repair work on Corvettes repaired it better than new.

i subsequently removed all the flares and took the opportunity to sand and re-coat them all with sound deadner spray as well as a final coat of black semi-gloss paint. They turned out fantastic and have held up well during my off-road trips. If you find a good fiberglass repair person you’ll be back in action in no time.

Making these things out of fiberglass is the dumbest idea ever.
