I’m pricing some 37in BFG KO2 but noticed that there’s a C rated version of the KO2 A/T called the “DT” that is substantially cheaper but I can’t figure out why. I’ve looked through various searches and haven’t found a whole lot of info other than it seems good and a stiffer tread - anyone have these ?

Must be a Discount Tire-exclusive tire.

@Discount Tire can you answer the OP's question?

the DT apparently stands for “different tread”
Where did you see that? I only see the 116s load range C on walmart in 37x12.50R17. $300 is a great price for them, I got mine at Discount Tire for $341.05 each less than a month ago. They price matched Amazon for me, I was happy at that price, at $300 I would be all over them.

This was through the mopar deal through my local Jeep dealership - so are you saying you got the “DT” version of the KO2?

No, I got the “regular” KO2’s, 37x12.50R17 Load range C 116S. I‘ve never seen or heard of the “DT” version until now, the tread in that picture looks the exact same as every other KO2, so not sure if DT means Different Tread. If it does, I would like them to point out the difference, cause they look the same as mine.

Yeah the small amount of info I’ve been able to find is that it’s a thicker compound so the tread “pattern” is the same - just trying to figure out if anyone actually has these haha

Someone is always the first, may as well be you! If I hadn’t just bought mine I would buy them, I would have to do the math on which is the better deal since I bought 5. Looks like it would be the walmart price, as long as Discount Tire would match it. If you only need 4 though, that MOPAR deal might be better, depends on the additional fees, mount, balance, etc.

It says overall diameter 36.50. I thought the KO2 were a lot smaller than that. Is that price $349.54 each for 3 tires and the forth one free, meaning $1048.62 for all 4 tires?

Looking at the BFG website, they only list one load range C in a 37x12.50x17. It doesn’t mention DT but has the same manufacturer item number as the Mopar site. It also shows as snow rated on the BFG site. Are there actually 2 different load range C 37x12.50x17 KO2’s @Discount Tire ? I do know the load range C ones are stock tires on a Raptor so maybe the DT has something to do with that?

I have been trying to find that offer. Where do you find it. Only have Jeeps for a year now, so I am still learning...
