I noticed that some folks bolt spotlights directly into the three Torx screw holes in the upper front of the steel bumper

Lights like the 6" Rigid 360s or the KC Hilites PRO6 LED.

Do you:

1. Just use the existing 45 Torx bolts & run them through the light brackets;

2. Buy another set of bolts and put nuts underneath the bumper for even more rigidity; or

3. Use the bolts & nuts that come with the lights.

Also, do you remove the fasteners underneath that the Torx bolts screw into if you put real washers & nuts on the underside.

thanks!

I went with Rigid 360s and used the hardware that was included with the lights. The nuts for the Torx bolts are clip nuts attached to the steel filler plate, which I removed to install winch. I left a Torx bolt in the middle to fill the hole. I used a washer nut that I had laying around. The hardware that came with the lights are really good quality. The link below describes how I mounted them. Lots of great lights out there. Good luck.
