Installing a Curt Discovery brake control in keep. Not getting 12 volts when the brakes are applied. Brakes will activate when the manual slide is activated. Checked all fuses that I thought might be a problem. Using a Teconsha cable plugged into harness under the dash. Had to hard wits the controller end since controlled didn’t have a plug on it. Any thought?

Since it wasn't installed with a Curt Harness, first thought is to check all the wiring. Since the manual brake slide works, either the controller is defective or it is not getting the signal to tell it to apply the brakes.

It is not getting the signal from the jeep wiring. My problem is I can’t figure out why. I have checked all the applicable fuses and they’re all good. I believe the signal should come from the red wire in the jeeps trailer connector harness. I believe that that wire should go hot 12 V when the jeeps brake light comes on. The problem is it is not.
