Left handed drill bit......... don't want to force it in further and tighter (unless trying to pull it through on the back side)
Yes, there is such a thing. Reverse the drill, use a left handed bit, that way if the bit catches or snags the tap, it will pull it back out since you are likely using a taper tap. - easier to bring it out than further in.
