I'm thinking of rigging this up myself with some extruded aluminum rails (t-slot) that I have from an old FJ Cruiser project (yes, I used to be on the dark side....or is this the dark side?) and need to mount to the bed. Still looking at how I want to mount the rail but will certainly need M6 screws easily found online; just unsure as to depth. Already bought a M6 Tap to remove bedliner material from holes.

They don't have to be very long, maybe between 10-15mm.

I went with 20mm. I wanted to make sure they have enough bite but were not too long. I believe factory rails, I don't know their thickness, use 25mm. I used M6 Shoulder Bolts for the cab side as I didn't want a rail there yet.

Careful with the tap. The holes are really gummy and you could break even that. I heated the holes with a hair dryer on high and it seem to cut them out better than cold ones. I made a thread chaser with an M6 bolt.

K, I suck at metric. Mine are about 5/8" long

I got shoulder bolts from local Ace hardware store in stainless, I only did the sides and put two 3/8” eye bolts in large side corners at front, just figured one day I would be pissed trying to fit a five foot box in bed of truck that wouldn’t fit with a rail at front of bed……Jack

Do you think the unistrut idea will work with the Mopar hard tonneau cover?

There's no reason it wouldn't. The rails would go into the pre-drilled holes along the top of the bed walls. The Mopar tonneau doesn't even come close to touching those.
