Wish I saw all this before I started the ACE install... Well not installed at this point. Cannot get the passenger read body mount out at all. Thing we snapped it with the breaker bar at the very first try. No it just spins and spins.. Cannot loosen or tighten it. We did the downward pressure and still doesn't come out. Going to stop at the dealer to see what they can do about it and even install the rails at this point. So much for getting a great deal on a set of sliders.. Going to spend the savings on repairing the body mount install. Again another reason I guess cheaper in the long run to deal with an install shop! UGH!!!

Well dropping it off at the dealer tomorrow. Going away for a few days. So lets see what they have to say. Also having them install the sliders(hopefully).... not sure what this is going to cost. They will call with a price. The service writer really didn't understand what I was trying to do or install....

Good luck! My dealer couldn’t help me. I took it to a body shop, and for about $300 they cut an access hole to rewatch it from the floorboard

Waiting to here back from Jeep Cares submitted an email over the weekend. Seems like it's been an issue with the JTs and JLs... So they should have a solution and I think covered under warranty.....

I had to do the same- fortunately my brother in law is a fabricator. Definitely a mofo to get to though and tack it back solid.

Reading this thread has me worried I’ve done something odd when installing my sliders!

Had no issues with pulling the factory sliders off the rubicon at all. The 4 bolts underneath all came out with minimal effort. There was no red loctite which sounds to be my saving grace!

Same with installing the fab fours. Everything went back in place just fine. Only thing I had to do which I found slightly concerning is remove the body colored bolt on the pinch seam to get the rails to mount flush. I figure there’s enough to hold it all together though

Get this...I installed my ACE rock sliders, all went well until the last bolt, driver side rear. The bolt didn't break, but the retaining nut moved out of position so now I can not thread the bolt back in. The space is too small to get fingers or a tool there to hold the nut in place. Any ideas or help would be appreciated. @JeepCares
I know this is an old thread, but the exact same thing happened to me, rear drivers side mount weld broke loose, the shop seems to think they can cut an access under the rear seat and then plug it back up ? I'm trying to reach out to Jeep to see if it's covered.. I have a 2022 with 1,200 miles and was installing the Rock Hard 4x4 . did you figure it out ?

Yes, got it taken care of. Found a dealer in Phoenix that had a service advisor that knew of the weakness and had experience writing it up as a warranty issue. Drove from San Diego to have them fix it. That's how they fixed it. Through the floor. You may have to coach the advisor that it's a weak weld. I can dog up my guys information and post it so you can call him for information on how to warranty it if it helps you tell your guy...unless you're close to AZ.
