Wow. I breezed past this thread and thought to myself that‘s not on mine thank goodness. Wrong. I’ve got three door hinges doing it. The others look okay but I’m not sure how to know whether or not they may follow. I guess the next step is go to the dealer and see what they say. Dang - I hate corrosion.

My wife's 2019 JLU has it too. I've noticed it previously but didn't put much thought into it. Making an appointment on Monday. So far, nothing on my JT

I got rid of my 18' Wrangler because of corrosion and got my 21' Gladiator. They issued the TSB for the JT corrosion and had to replace an axle at 5k miles.

I got rid of it.

I just got a $3700+ coupon to buy another Jeep.

Until this gets fixed and Jeep explicitly states that they have updated manufacturing to prevent it. I won't be buying another one. I am actually patiently waiting, because I want to buy another Jeep. The lack of concern from dealers is a slap in the face.

this happened on my buddys JLU and I then noticed it happening on my old white JLUR. Not impressed with this happening and being a common problem. Will monitor my Sting Grey Gladiator though.

I was giving my Gladiator a nice wash/wax today and noticed a very small amount of bubbling on the passenger rear hinge. I'm in FL and it's never seen any snow and always keep it washed and waxed. Now I need to go look at the hood.....

I guess you won't be buying any Ford trucks, Explorer, Mustang, etc. then either, eh?

@ShadowsPapa

I've seen corrosion on other cars before. The Wranglers / Gladiators are probably some of the worst I've seen. Corrosion happens sometimes. But almost every single hinge, door, panel, etc. If you have to fix a hood or a fender. I still think it's reasonable. Now, most of the panels? All four of my doors, hood, hinges had corrosion.

That's a first for me.

Hood and tailgate, hinges are fine. I took it to the dealer a month ago, they took pictures and said they would get back to me. Called and left two messages, still waiting to hear back. Truck is a 2020 with 23k miles. @JeepCares

@JeepCares you helped me out when my back window was leaking. Looks like I’m going to need some additional help with my hinges. I have at least five bubbling hinges. Should I schedule a visit to the dealer? Need an oil change soon anyway…help!

Hi,
I took a buy-back on my 2020 JLUR for corrosion. It took about a month of negotiations with the dealer firmly on my side. Received $55k and bought my 2023 Mojave for $59k. I was pleasantly surprised Jeep owned up to the issue. Jeep care helped too. The dealer told jeep the repairs would cost $19k.
