Hi everyone looking for some advice…long story short, had lots of issues the entire time with my truck up until about 6 months ago, from an engine replacement to being at the dealer for weeks at a time for other reasons but it seems like all the issues were worked out and it has been like I’ve always wanted. They gave me an extended warranty 100k 6yrs for free so I still have coverage for a few more years.

Last time it was at the dealer I reached out to FCA about a buyback and 6 months later they approved it. They are offering $58,000. I have a lot of blood, sweat and tears in my JT along with almost 30k in upgrades. They want the truck back stock so I get to keep all the parts I’ve put on but it’s going to be a ton of work getting it back to stock.

Question for you guys is should I keep it or accept the buyback?

Here is the parts list…

If it’s good now (it sounds like that’s the case), it’s setup how you want it, and you’ve got an extended warranty…I’d keep it.

With interest rates being what they are now…I wouldn’t want to have to be in the market for a new ride at the moment.

How old, how many miles, and what did you pay originally? If I got to use a truck for free for 3-4 years I'd take the buy back since depreciation alone is going to probably be close to 20k.

2020, 22k miles. I had it up for sale prior to taking it to the dealer and I was offered 55k so I don’t think it will depreciate as much as you think.

What you need to do is tell them that how do you know it was such a lemon you would’ve purchased the seven year unlimited mile warranty from the beginning and tell them if they were offer that then you will keep the truck which would give you proximately five more years but unlimited miles versus six years and only 100,000

I would personally take the buy back. Take your extra parts off and take the $58K and buy a newer Gladiator, or sell your parts and buy something different if you want. With prices on Gladiators being discounted currently, I would buy a brand new one! Just my opinion, YMMV!

This is what I would do at the number they offered

I would take the buyback for what they are offering it. The market has come down and there is deals to be had on a newer one for the same money or less.

Wow !! I have a 22 loaded overland with just under 5000 miles. bought last September. I put a tonneau cover, Line X bedliner and mud flaps on it. Sticker was just under 58,000. I have had no problems and love the vehicle but if the dealer offered me 58000 it would be on their lot and not my driveway. I’d probably do a 2024 maybe a Mojave this time ?
