Buying a Used SC Mojave go for it or pass?

Hi I hope this message finds you all well. I am looking at buying a used gladiator that has a Magnuson superchargertt. Jeep has 46,000 miles on it. I have no idea how long it has been on the jeep or how it has been ran. would you advise to be concerned with a purchase like this? Or would you advise to find some thing with a stock engine? I appreciate your help and your expertise in this matter.

I would never buy a vehicle with such extensive modifications personally. You just can’t be sure of the quality of work done and you might be buying a big headache.

If you really wanna supercharged, Mojave, buy a 3.6 and super charged it yourself.

This is EXACTLY how I feel on this as well.

I have been hesitant as well because of the super charger. Jeep claimed to be certified with an extended power train warranty included to 100k 84 month.

I am surprised that it would be certified with the sc on it.

10:1 odds the warranty was purchased prior to the SC install and the dealer is being cute and not disclaiming that the time bomb under the hood isn’t covered.

If the warranty is in writing it's a +. I'd be cute and ask them in writing to confirm that despite the supercharger it still has the warranty.

You need to search this forum and read the transcripts from Dave, he has extensive knowledge and tons of experience with the sc; needless to say he doesn't have it anymore - that should be your first clue.
