The MP Concepts is aluminum (41 lbs), has light holes (my lights are on backorder), converts to a stubby, and the hidden winch. Factory LED fogs bolt right in also. Also comes with winch plate and skid plate. It's just like the Mopar Steel except aluminum. $744 @ Extreme Terrain. It does not come with a brush guard,but I ordered a Warn Mid last night.

It's a Rugged Ridge Arcus stubby bumper. I did not order the optional bar over the winch.
My stock Rubicon skid plate fit without modification, and the led fog lights from my stock plastic bumper bolted right up. I did have to cut 2 small slots in the outer bumper to make room for the Maximus-3 tow loops. I also had to buy longer bolts to make it through the beefy tow bar mounts. I bought grade 8 shoulder bolts.

Quadratec Rubicon Extreme 17x9 wheels. They were on sale when I bought them. $99ea. I added Jeep center caps instead of the blank ones provided. Mastercraft Courser MXT 37x12.5x17. One of the lightest 37" MT and less expensive than most. No balance problems.

Yes, we got rained and even hailed on. It held up fine. I can’t speak for extended use, but it did great on our three week trip. We used ratchet straps to hold it down in addition to its own built in straps. We got the big one and it held 3 carry-on suitcases, one oversized suitcase, a full sized ice chest, and a jogging stroller.

I’ve been wanting a roof nest condor. How have you liked that one? I want a hard shell that will fit recessed behind the cab, like you have.

It’s good. There are things I don’t like. One thing I like about RTTs is leaving pillows and blankets in it to save space in the Jeep and quicker setup, but this has no room for that at all.
I was considering the iKamper and I like how that one has windows. With my tent behind the cab there’s no room to open the window with the rods, iKamper has the roll up windows that would have worked. I just didn’t want to spend that much on a roof top tent. They’re both kinda pricey, to me, for what you get.
I’ve seen people post problems with their shells cracking/flaking on a Facebook group. I don’t leave mine on daily, it’s hanging from my garage roof with the bed rack currently. Mine hasn’t had any issues, but the shell has several scratches all over it. It showed up that way in the box, the box had no damage, kinda weird.
It’s been good besides my couple of concerns for wanted/needed.

Every time I look at those 3-4 person RTT’s, I just can’t work out how body weight can be supported by the half of the tent that hangs out past the vehicle.

Do you have to take special precautions when using that sort of roof top tent?
