Sometimes I wish I had gone with a trailer. But that 32,000$ price tag was a bit above what I wanted to spend by 10k so I bought a camper instead 13k. Plus my mods and build out. Still way under the 32k price tag. I was looking at the Off Grid Trailer. Didn't care for their set up on all the dometic stuff. No one really lets you choose what you think best suits you. Except you/me. Still building but it will be my way.

Randy, are you happy you went with the medium height rack? I want to do the same but I suffer from ‘analysis paralysis’ when it comes to such expensive purchases. I don’t think I want the tent much higher than the roof line, and sometimes think just above the bed rails would be better, but I keep going back to the mid-height rack as the best option for how I use the bed.

I too have a mid-height setup (w/Diamondback cover) and no complaints. Still see (mostly) out the back window when no extra gear on top of the cover.
