Ran up to Mammoth Lakes for a quick weekend trip. Stayed in Old Shady Rest CG, but main focus was paddle boarding on Lake Mary. This pic was taken at the lake while GFC was in “changing room” mode.

Cottonwood Campground in Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Neighbors had a nighttime visit from a large bull Bison - 2 feet from her! Nice place to stop off in western North Dakota.

What are you with families of 5 or more doing for your set up?
I like more rugged tent type of camping, but my wife prefers the more luxury stuff with bathroom and air / walls etc.

Got her to camp in a small cabin weekend before last, nothing in it but a bed , bunk bed, and a ceiling fan. No air or bathroom.

I’m hotel and AirBnB when I’m with the wife and 17 year old daughter. My son and I rough it in a tent, primitive, dry camping. Happy wife…happy life.

Perfect, just ordered that awning, thx! Now need to put up my longer ARB on the market, will not fit the half-rack.

yeah, I wanted one on the side, but with the half rack, the one on the back was really all I could do. It works fine for my setup.

Central Alberta random camping...

About a mile away the weekend before last a tornado touched down at 3 am. Everyone is ok, but it sure made a mess.

How’s the Bestop working out?

It did great. Just traveled 5,600 miles across 14 states now ver 19 days. Dealt with wind, rain, mud. No issues- kept everything dry and out of site.

Spent time camping in northern New Mexico last month. Lovin' it.

I have a stupid question, and not just for this quote, for anyone who can help that has knowledge of tents like this. So how does the tent actually not collapse at the area that is hanging over the truck? I've tried to find this info but I'm sure that I'm just too stupid to figure it out.....
