Man you pulled that thing down the hwy? Talk about tail waggin the dog!
Actually very stable... I have a Pro-pride hitch that totally eliminates sway, mimicking a 5th wheel setup. Hard to explain unless you have experience with the difference between traditional hitch and a pro-pride or hensley hitch, but there's really no comparison.

Whats the loaded weight of the rig? I have a 38' 5th wheel that the F450 pulls, but looking at a small 20' or similar to pull behind the Gladiator for weekend runs
Is the Pro-pride/Hensley a weight distributing hitch

The pinstriping was an unexpected bonus (temporary) as was the chunk out of the left fender (permanent). Battle scars.
Where is that? Western CO? Utah?

First trip with the truck from Bozeman -> Flagstaff via Moab, and picking up the OVRLND camper.

On the way south near Utah Lake:
Jeep Gladiator Camping with your Gladiator camping3

On the way back north near Canyon of the Ancients (Cortez, CO), went through a crazy rain storm first night in the OVRLND, slept wonderfully:

Outside of Moab:

Apparently mine is only the 2nd Gladiator they did, you can check out OVRLND's instagram to see it on a more "built" rig too. Loving it, definitely beats the minimalist climbing shelter I used on the way to Flagstaff :)

That’s awesome. My buddy is getting his in a couple months. Going on a Ram 2500 Mega Cab.
Nice, he won't notice it at all on a 2500, and whatever bed size he has that thing is going to be palatial inside. I can't believe how big it made my 5' bed feel, even just for hauling.

Can it be removed easily? I love our AluCab but wish I could remove it when not using it. I have considered trying to switch to a Khaya or something removable.

I would say it would be medium difficult. It is only clamped on and is using rubber seals along the bed rails and tailgate (glued to the cap, not the truck), so about the same level as removing a typical fiberglass truck cap. The main challenge would be having a hoist that could support the bit greater weight and awkard cab over than a typical truck cap. My OVRLND is ~325ish lbs, so not super heavy, window-less builds would be sub 300. The other option might be bolting jack attachments to it like 4wheel campers do to attach legs to it for removal and storage. The OVRLND is square so stands should work (?).
