Hi everyone, I just installed a Clayton 2.5” Lift on my JT and I’m trying to track down some vibration that I have when driving. I’m wondering if it might be related to my pinion angle. Alignment shop told me to get a spacer for my carrier bearing which I’ve installed and I’ve adjusted my track bars until I’ve reached the results in the screenshot below, but I still have vibration at 20-25 mph and again at 48-53 mph. Does this look right?

The bottom number “driven member” is the pinion angle of the rear axle (4 degrees). Currently I have 2.1 degrees of difference between the pinion angle and drive shaft angle.

This isn’t caster on the front axle, it’s the pinion angle on the rear axle.

It’s a Rubicon. I have a little side to side shimmy in the steering wheel, but I can also feel it in the seat. It does not seem to improve if I let off the gas…so I’m wondering if it’s a driveshaft out of balance? The JT has always had a little roar like something was slightly out of balance, but it’s worse now.

Does your 24 model have a FAD ?? If it doesn't then the front axle is turning and turning thd front driveshaft and if your not set correctly that may be some of it. Additionally this could simply be a tore balance or bent rim issue

My Gladiator is stock other than the lift, wheels/tires. I had the tires rebalanced Monday thinking that could be some of it, but it didn’t help. Front caster is about 5.5 degrees.

Are these Good ..Good ..Good ..Good Vibrations ??? 😂😂
5.5 is in the ball park if you have adjustable lower control arms . You could try moving closer to 6.0 and see if it solves anything.
I posted previously on some of the newer models there is NO FAD ( front axle disconnect) if your is a late enough made version and you dont have a FAD then with the added height you may be experiencing vibrations due to the front drive shaft turning 😉

I honestly wished they would have come out with lock in lock out hubs on these . No ine runs then all the time and carrying a spare hub was a thing. It is also super easy to change also. But alas we have what we have .
If I am nit mistaken the ones with out the FAD have the 4Hi auto transfer case .

The rear two piece driveshaft differential pinion is set differently, (pinion angles), than a one piece drive shaft. I would start with the pinion angles and double check the pinion angles. With the FAD disconnected the front drive shaft does not turn, only the stub shafts and side gears. If the vibration is related to speed see if it is correlated to rpm/transmission gear. That may help identify if it is the driveshaft.

He hasn't said if He has or does not have a FAD . His is a 24 model. Yes you are correct but the front FAD is a big question.

Mine is a 2024 and has no FAD and does not have the auto transfer case.
