Clunking noise

2021 high altitude edition here have had it since June 10th and at first I didn’t hear this noise but once I hit 3k I started hearing this clunking sound like a bad/loose U joint happens when I’m accelerating and let of the gas it will downshift then I go to give it more gas and clunk! I can replicate it all the time and even had my Jeep tech listen to it which they told me oh that’s normal!? I now have 8k miles and it’s seems to be getting worse now it’s happening when I’m coming to a stop when it’s downshifting and man does mine seem to violently downshift. I have driven trucks before and never heard any kinds of clunking even my Chevy vortex max with 300k miles had no noises like this lol so has anyone found a fix for this or has anyone actually found out what it is? Or is this Normal? Do you hear a CLUNK?

My 2021 HA does the same, very loose/sloppy drive train. Figured it was a "Jeep thing"....

I had the same issue. There was also a rubbing sound or slight clunk that you could feel after backing out of the driveway and slowly accelerating. No real sound, I could just feel it through the steering wheel. I had mine in the shop yesterday to get a lift and asked them to look at TSB 02-004-21. They said they tightened the lower ball joints and put in new pins. The issue is completely fixed now for the downshift and slow speed turning. Can't 100% say it was the lower ball joint because they did the lift at the same time, however; the problem appears to be gone.

Please forgive me what is a TSB? And thank you so much for replying and glad yours got fixed I’m hoping to get the mopar lift soon and hope it fixes my issue as well

I found the top nuts on the knuckles loose! I tighten to 41 lf ft and have not heard my noise again. I have read a lot about nuts and bolts being left finger loose on our JTs.
