Thanks for the thread. My Jeep club is taking a few Gladiators west from VA to crawl the Rubicon. Right now we have 4 Gladiators and a wicked Build JKUR. Some will meet us there. Rubicon for 3 days and then Fordyce and start heading back to the east coast. with a stop at Holy Cross Jep trail.

Should be a lot of fun and yes we will start a thread.

Sucks y'all got a drive so far to do the high Sierras. Literally in my backyard and I've never even wanted to do it (not set up for the Rubicon)I know it's not about the destination but the journey to get there with friends and memories made along the way.

The East Coast does have some great places to play but nothing like the west and Rockies. Couple years ago we did the Black Hills, loved it so much we all wanted to stay, just could not afford the California prices on land. This trip is a bucket list trip for our group On Built JKUR and 4 build Gladiators are going to take on the Wild West. and on the way back visit Holy Cross in Colorado. Hoping the fires stay away, and the trail is not too crowded. We are planning three days to run the Rubi and then another day to run Fordyce. The latter might be a bit much for built sock axles and a heavy overlander. At least two of our crowd are built to tackle Fordyce with ease. My rig if we run it will likely run the by passes and watch and assist those on the main lines.
