What's up everyone? I'm hoping someone has been thru this and may have some insight. I am not new to diesels but this is my first Eco diesel. Sold my Cummins for the Gladiator 2 month ago. Bought it certified used with 50k miles from a big Jeep dealer here in Florida.

P2002 , P249c and p246f Code popped up and took it to the dealer. 1 week later they said I need a whole new DPF system but was on backorder and no estimated date for the parts to come in. Dealer recommended against driving it... LOL Thankfully part came in a week later and they replaced the whole turbo back DPF exhaust. Left a bolt out and it rattled at the stop light. They cleared all codes and seemed fine. 1 week later boom only P249c code back on? WTF so back to the dealer I went for it to sit for a week for them to do nothing, So I picked it up put the exhaust hanger bolt in my self and cleared the codes but it keeps coming on.... WHY?

I bought the security bypass cable and had already mxlink+ obd dongle and Alpha obd. I've attempted to force regen but it wont It hasn't regened since i bought it and def fluid gauge is still full. I think its one of the four sensors.

Anyone have any thoughts or experience with this? Only P249c is coming on now.

Thank you to anyone who has read this and might have some insight.

Sounds like your dealer did the shotgun method of troubleshooting. They need to do a reductant quantity test and see if the injector nozzle is clogged. How long has your DEF tank been full? That's a sign that your nozzle is clogged. What clogs your nozzle? I'm guessing incomplete regens.

I had a P206D CEL pop up. At the same time, my DEF level went from 1/2 to reading full. This happened after running through some deep water. When U got home. I removed the skid plate under the DEF tank. There is 3 plugs there. I removed each plug a put dielectrical grease in each plug. Thinking that water had gotten into one of the plugs to cause the gauge to read full.

Your other CEL could be from the wiring harness rubbing on the exhaust bracket up by the turbo. It was a common problem with some early Eco's.

Thanks you for the responses, I will check on these ideas today. I want to EOC the thing but figured id work the kinks on the truck out since its certified warranty covered. The only problems seem to related to this.

I had this and other related DEF codes on my 2022 EcoDiesel. I checked all wiring and found no issues. The ultimate fix was dropping the DEF tank and cleaning it out along with the sensor and sending unit.

Poor quality DEF had crystallized in the tank.

Think that was part of my issue I had at Rausch Creek this year.

Retired. Beach bum.
Well seeing as how you are looking lucky to be in Florida, where we have no dreaded inspections or other such nonsense. Just rip it all out delete, or as above they say to EOC?
