Probably driving Red Elephant this Sunday. Unfortunately working next Friday.Heading to Idaho Springs area on Friday the 2nd with some coworkers, just some easy trails.
What’s red elephant? I probably won’t make it. Still cleaning up after the rubicon trip. Just got home at 11 last night. No actual damage. Just every single skid, lower control arm, and bumper that all need to be sanded and repainted. And my trail alignment needs to be replaced with a professional one. It drives straight though.Probably driving Red Elephant this Sunday. Unfortunately working next Friday.
Looks really fun. I’ll join you next time.@Summitdan It's just a bit West of Idaho Springs. About 4.5hr trail. Listed as difficult but mostly moderate.
Wow. Sorry I missed it. Looks amazing. Say hi to Randall.Great day out on Bill Moore Lake and Red Elephant Hill. Skid plates were used today, a lot. The stiff factory mud flaps are going bye bye, as they caught on everything today. I do recommend both of these trails. The scenery was beautiful.
Boreas Pass has great colors, easily accessible with any vehicle. Georgia Pass really pretty on Jefferson side, not as much on Breckenridge side as it's mostly pine Anywhere around Breckenridge is really pretty. Any trails out of Montezuma are great, but moderate to difficult. Webster and Red Cone also really pretty in the fall.Curious where you all like to go leaf peepin in the fall near Denver. Taking the kids and usually head up to some roads around Kenosha.. looking for some other options away from the masses, but not too far away..
Curious.. can you go up part ways on Webster without getting too technical? Are the trees pine/aspen on the 285 side?Boreas Pass has great colors, easily accessible with any vehicle. You can definitely go up from the 285 side without getting technical. Only the last part of Webster Pass is a shelf road, but the rest is very manageable. Boreas Pass is probably a 1 rating, but really pretty. First 3 images are Boreas Pass, last 4 are Webster Pass.Curious.. can you go up part ways on Webster without getting too technical?
