Are you guys running:

• Low-profile roll bars for looks
• Full-height bed racks for RTT setups
• Or keeping it clean with no rack at all?

For those running roll bars:

– Are you using it mostly for styling?
– Mounting lights?
– Securing cargo?

Also wondering how many people are running soft tonneau covers with their roll bars.

Drop pics if you’ve got them 👇
Always cool seeing different setups.
If anyone needs fitment info, just PM me.

I've considered a roll bar for my JT, there's two main things stopping me: I carry a dirtbike or two most times during nice weather, and they look weird when the top is off.

I generally prefer function vs form, and looked at some of your offerings. The roll bars with the mounting points/racks/cargo trays are nice, but I don't think a standard full sized dirtbike will fit under them, or most/if any competitors products for that fact.

When I'm ready to get one, it would need to fit two full sized dirtbikes (front end) under the bar/rack/basket. That's the biggest show stopper. After that, mounting with little modification while being secure would be the first thing I'd care about. I don't trust slot mounted products, other than 80/20 metal.

My Mopar hard tri-fold cover can hold me standing/sitting on it (top removal) but I don't trust it (even though I've read they can hold ~100-300lbs, don't remember where), but I remove it when I'm hauling bikes more than around the property at most. It just uses slot mounting iirc but it's not something I'd trust for more than keeping boxes from blowing around and eyes/hands off them.

No roll bar on my truck, it gets in the way of the different covers and caps I put on for different jobs. Any of the ones that don't get in the way are purely for looks and wouldn't add an functionality to the truck.

I might consider one in conjunction with a tall cross bar at the back of the bed for carrying a kayak, but I haven't put one in the water in years.

If you are sourcing customer input for future product offerings, there is a need for those running Bestop, Agri-cover, Quad-topper, or Rampage soft bed toppers, for a lower cost alternative to the DatinFab Gladiator Canvas Cage Bed Rack that can go over the soft-top. I love DatinFab, but $1400 is up there in price. Just my 2-cents.

I love the way they look but can’t afford to add anymore unnecessary weight to my truck.
Not unnecessary lol they are cool and give 10hp and did I mention they are cool. Bring the 80s back

Nice setup 👌 JCR makes solid gear.

Good to hear it’s working well with your roll-up and Billie Bars — that combo seems to be one of the more versatile ways to keep bed access while still having mounting options up top.

Are you mostly using the Billie Bars for cargo, bikes, or light mounting?

Always cool seeing different approaches to balancing function and flexibility on the JT.

😂 You’re not wrong.

Some mods aren’t about necessity — they’re about style. And everyone knows a roll bar automatically adds at least 10hp.

There’s just something about that 80s vibe — lights up top, a little attitude, old-school truck energy. It might not be “needed,” but it definitely looks right.

Function is great… but cool factor counts too.

Bring the 80s back 🤘

That’s actually really valuable input — appreciate you sharing that.

You’re absolutely right. There’s a gap in the market for guys running soft bed toppers like Bestop, Agri-Cover, Quad-Topper, or Rampage who still want a rack system that clears the soft top without jumping into the $1,400+ range like the DatinFab Canvas Cage.

Most traditional bed racks are designed around open beds or hard covers, so soft-top compatibility tends to get overlooked — especially at a more approachable price point.

We’ve been paying closer attention to soft-top users lately because that segment is growing, and your comment reinforces that there’s real demand there.

Out of curiosity — for your use case, would you prioritize:
• RTT capability?
• Light overlanding loads?
• Or more of a cargo/utility setup?

Really appreciate the 2 cents — this kind of feedback is exactly what helps shape better product decisions.

That makes total sense — sounds like your truck is set up to work, not just look good.

If you’re rotating between different covers and caps, a fixed roll bar would definitely limit that flexibility. In cases like yours, we usually recommend either:

• A modular system that can be removed without drilling
• Or a rear crossbar-style setup that can be added only when needed (kayak days, etc.)

If you ever decide to revisit the kayak setup and want something functional — not just cosmetic — feel free to reach out to MONOKING. We’re always open to discussing custom-height crossbars or modular solutions that won’t lock you into one configuration.

No pressure at all — just here as a resource if you need it down the road.

For me it would be the ability to change between RTT and cargo (kayaks, canoes, etc.). Lighter loads and boxed storage presently ride on crossbars over the cab or under the soft-topper (especially when element protection is needed). Having both an RTT and soft-topper also provides more covered sleep space for friends along for the adventure. Hope that is helpful.

Exactly what I have on my Billie bars. Bike rack and cargo rack.
The JCR chase rack has 4 lights. But I also mount rotopax on it.
