Hello all, this post if just for inspo purposes for those looking to do the same. I was in the smae boat as many, wanting more bass on a budget with still maintaining as much cab space as possible, so here was my solution, though there may be other already like this.

I built a box to complement my Kicker speaker kit from Trailseven. The box takes up only the space directly under the single rear seat allowing for the space under the dual seat to still be free. The box also doesnt impead any leg room of said seat. The stock sub location doesn't fit any sub worth using or I would have gone there, but this option allows for a 10" rather than an 8". I managed to complete thins box with only $40, add a 170$ kick comp sub and 170$ amp, and there you have it, one of the cheapest methods I found. Additionally, this box is able to utilize two of the storage "box" bolts which securly bolts the sub to the body creating rattle free sound and keeping it moatly theft proof while doors off. Amp mounts behind the seat. I am extremely pleased with the sound as well. Hope this helps someone!

(Still need to wrap the box in a water resistant material and route wires, ignore in pics)

Box Dimensions are 16"x11"x5.5"
Supplies:
2'x4'x0.5" MDF
Wood glue
Box of 50 screws
10" Kick comp shallow mount
Kicker CXA400.1
Wire Kit

I did something similar as well, except I made mine to fit in the storage bin. It has less volume than yours. I ended up porting mine. I'm very happy with the set up.

Looks good! Yeah, volume was one of the things I was attempting to maximize. I think I would have also tried to get mine to fit the box had I not already removed it. I ofter run a no seat, no delete, on on the double for maximum cargo space when camping. If I did want the cargo box back on the other side, I think cutting it to flush up against the box would work well.

Do you have a write up on how you built this box? It’s exactly what I’m looking for.
