Hey thank you for posting that! I cannot wait to get mine put on, it is such slick idea!!! That blinker is fantastic too! but I do see the color difference. I am super OCD also and that bothers the crap out of me. Maybe with the sarge green it won't be as noticeable... My JT is not quite a year old so the factory paint hasn't faded much yet.

It's a surprising amount of side light as well considering how little power those draw. I was surprised to see the wires they look about 16 or 18 ga to me.

Any time. Metallic paint is really tough to match, so yours might be better. Again, I’m super ocd, but these are so good that I’m fine with it. They’re 16awg. Let me know if you want any hints regarding the blinker hookup. I made harnesses, so I wouldn’t need to tap into oem harnesses.

Edit: Please try to ignore my missing winch. I’m in the process of swapping it out. That gaping hole kills me.

Sweet! I actually stole an idea from @ShadowsPapa and contacted Oracle for a one off of their harness. So I used that to tap into the blinker wire using some waterproof connectors, and also use the (I think it was yellow?) wire to act as a signal wire for when parking lamps are on which signals the switch pro's to dim the backlighting so its not so bright at night. I also used Oracle's tail light pigtail to tap into the reverse lights to act as a 'trigger' for the future reverse light.....

But I do actually have a question, when you had yours apart, do you recall the cowl portion that surrounds the plastic part with the wiper blades, those two bolts that bolt that cowl and the DC lights to the truck - is there anything between them on the underside? And is that also plastic or is it metal? Side topic but still looking for a way to mount the CB and GMRS and I had thought (cringe) about drilling a hole between those two bolts for a mounting spot to have a good ground plane.

Also, is that the Warn bumper?

I used two quadratec DRL harnesses, and added a splice for the blinker harness. So the same idea. For what it’s worth, I did not remove the inner fender lining. I removed the entire flare and liner assembly. You’ll need a dozen or so of the white fender clips on hand in advance. You’ll break at least five per side no matter how careful you are. But it makes each side a very quick job.

If I recall, the bolts of course go into metal, but there is plastic between, but they take two seconds to remove and check.

Yes. Warn Elite full width, part 101335. I’ve been very happy with it.

I found the picture showing which wire is the blinker in the harness. It’s the white wire that I marked with purple sharpie.

I’ve been wanting to purchase these for awhile … color match now has me a little concerned … so much so I’m thinking about maybe just getting them in black but I’m not sold on that

Anyone ever seen these on sale? I try checking their website but never see anything.

I bought them from a forum member that had silver ones on a black JT. So I got lucky.

If you check their Instagram page, they post discounts there sometimes.

I wonder if they are actually using mopar paint. The colors are slightly off on some and really off on others.
Best bet might be to get these shipped raw and paint it yourself if you want a near perfect match.
The color on mine has definitely weathered differently than my actual paint, so you may have the right idea.
man that was a dpressing thing to read this morning... can you share a pic to show what you mean? mine are supposed to be here Monday and I really wanted to slap them on right away - I doubt a local body shop will be willing to paint such a small job.....
The paint quality was my only concern when I received them. The color match was always slightly off and they do weather differently.

Here’s a pic of mine from last summer. I’ve had them for a couple years now and I’m over it. I have bad OCD and otherwise really like them. People don’t notice the mismatch unless I say something.

As for the asking price, I think they should come with a better paint job and including a wiring harness would be an added bonus.

I think quadratic had select colors on sale for a short period of time a while ago... And as much as I agree they are pretty steep, if you look at other lights, such as Baja Designs XL80, they're in the ballpark.

That being said, I also agree that the paint quality, just from what I have seen here, should be much better for the price. And they should offer not necessarily an entire wiring harness, but at least a longer pigtail with a connector so folks can wire them up professionally - I will be adding a waterproof connector to mine.

But they are kinda unique on the market..... I bet they have a ton of business

Someone just posted a thread for a set of them unpainted without lights. Someone will get a good deal and a perfect color match.

well my neighbor graciously is letting me use his garage for a few days. Looks like they are a decent paint match with the green! I cant believe its plastic. Even the factory cowl. I never would have thought…..

any tips for getting the bolts off without scratching them? Really trying to avoid making places for rust to take hold.

oh man I musta got lucky then. I was able to take off the bolts and a couple of the plastic push retainers (without a trim tool even) and just bend the inner fender back just enough to do work…. It was months ago too though so it was warm and the plastic was pliable.

That’s a very good match. I used the Jeep torx bit in the kit. Anytime I want to be careful to not mar the hardware, I use manual tools.

I couldn’t get anywhere near the passenger wiring without pulling the fender. Could touch the drivers side from above, but it was so cold I would have risked breaking it. So I pulled that fender as well. Annoying, but no risk. Just a few replacement fender clips.

Great sale at Quadratec right now but only on Silver. $260, that’s $290 off retail.
