Dashcam mirror - are they any good?

So, just saw a motorcycle crash while in my wife's Tesla and was appreciative of the dashcams and video there.

I keep getting the ads for "Wolfbox" which appears to be like a universal, slap on top of your rearview mirror, front and rear camera system.

Anyone running this, or similar? I'm not a security nut, but I see the value in having a dash cam while driving and if it recorded the rear view too, that would be nice as well. Dont want to go too overboard and like to keep things simple when possible.

I had one and returned it the glare sucked, just get a dash cam. Takes up a lot of not already there window area as well

I just installed mine on my camper. No issues so far. I had to adjust some settings but.other than that it really helps with the passenger side blind spot.

Ordered the wolf box 900 and returned it the same day. Too big for the visors to come down without moving the mirror out of the way. Quality was decent but long term not as good as a stand-alone dash came. I also had this horrible drunk feeling while on the short drives I took. I feel the mirror is too in your face if that makes sense. And turned off the glass is very dark so for me I couldn’t see in my back seat where my kid usually is or my gsd. I bought it initially because I have a half rack and can’t see out the back glass. However I found the turn cam with tazer worked for my needs or just turning on the rear camera already in the jeep.

I want one really bad but I hate that they have the wires sticking out of the top. I want a factory look but can’t seem to find one, affordable, with rear wiring so I can easily hide it all

So I've got a NextBase W322 I think it's called. It's about a year old, better features on the new models but one on my Glady and one on my daughters car. Unobtrusive little cam I wired to ignition vice a 12v plug and it's been extremely helpful.

I've been able to pull video of someone who ran our gate and destroyed it in our community. I've been able to provide video to police as a witness to a crash. Most recently, my daughter had someone hit her and take off and incidentally, we were able to get the plate from it.

I'll always run a dashcam.

Looks good- which one did you get?

I got the Wolfbox G900 yes it's a little large for the visors. But I don't pull my visors down. I shifted it towards the driver side so the wife can use hers. I wear a hat and sunglasses so the sun doesn't bother me all that much.
As far as the drunk feeling any mirror in not made to constantly look at it while driving. I couldn't see my blind spot. It helps out immensely. Just my opinion.

They make some that are WiFi connected also some that replace the factory mirror all together.
