First post here. Just picked up our 2021 Sport Gladiator. Dealer installed Fuel wheels with Nitto tires to help sell the Jeep because of being a base model. I am happy with the options and basically got them for $400. What became a problem, is the tires are 33” and the spare is the stock tire, which puts it about 31-1/2”. First off, I didn’t have lug nuts for the spare wheel, which I did get, not sure if the Fuel lugs would work. The major concern was with the spare tire size, I brought this subject up with the sales dept. as the concern was damage to the drive train, they said the dealer install options all the time and never said it was an issue. Drive it like a space saver spare, slow speed and limited distance. Now the problem, out in the middle of nowhere and towing a 4000 lb travel trailer, this isn’t going to fly. I resolved the problem by replacing the spare with a 33” tire. I approached the dealer with a possible discount on the replaced spare tire. Sales department said nope. My concern, is the dealer is adding the options, and not telling the customer the whole story. At least I got our bases covered. Thanks for letting me join this group.

Ya, not a good idea to drive on a different size tire for too long but a lot of Jeeps do have a different size spare tire as the owner doesn't want to spend the money for 5 tires. Sorry about the dealership not helping you out.

If you leave it in 2wd and put the spare on the front, you can go forever with a different sized tire.

Knowing our luck, it would be a rear flat, pouring rain and switching out two tires , I will pass on. I am satisfied with paying for the extra tire. I am just concerned the sales department is not informing their customers of a possible problem with the dealer installed options. I was not told upfront and only found out about this when looking into having a situation when towing our trailer. Never thought about the front wheel install, little slow on the draw. Thanks for the information.
