I will address it later. Turns out my mother has cancer. Been at the hospital all week trying to figure out how bad. Hopefully the tech doesn’t have a doctor relative.
Oh crap. I'm so sorry to hear that. It kind of puts things in perspective.

Hang in there.

I think it’s long enough to adjust something or order parts for an easily duplicated not over complicated issue. Go ahead tell me about the pandemic and maple syrup.
That's just plain being unreasonable and unreal.
So you are a believer in the conspiracy theory that there are no shortages, no pandemic, no shortage of labor (check with Mike Rowe about that) the shelves are all full, all warehouses and parts depots around the country are full of the exact parts everyone could ever need and able to be shipped out in hours.
Yeah, right..........
Been to any stores lately? I have.
Grocery stores - empty shelves. Why? Transportation and shortage of people who want to work and make things.
Pharmacy - sorry, can't get that med, we're out and we don't know how long it will be (check with the media about that one - some people are waiting on very necessary drugs)
Lowe's - bare hooks for taps and dies - can't get 'em (guy working there I talked to was a former truck driver - yeah, that industry is hurting)
I need wiring harnesses for things I restore - normally I can get them in 2 days. I need 12. I bought out everyone that normally carries 3 or 4 of them - or more. I bought 'em all and came up short. They are saying the factory can't make more until.......... JUNE. Why? Shortage of labor.
Pella Corp - still trying hard to expand into new plants they are having built. They can't bribe people to come work. Even with paying top wage and a $2,000 sign-up bonus.
Still trying to get a part to fix our Bosch refrigerator............. looks like it may be a while. Parts depots keep moving the ship date out.

Yet you can't believe that you can't get parts in under a week. Really.

China has again shut some things down over - TWO cases of covid.
I guess empty shelves, lack of workers, it's all a lie, conspiracy to keep you from your truck being fixed?
Through November 2021, an average of more than 3.9 million workers quit their jobs each month, meaning 2021 will hold the highest average on record,
currently -
The number of workers quitting jobs vaulted to 4.5 million from 4.2 million, above the prior record of 4.4 million reached in September, the Labor Department said Tuesday.

Shops here are short-staffed............

They had my shit for a week and no parts were involved. So calm down. For the record the shamdemic is a mixture of both. And again, they didn't fix anything. They took a problem that they threw a part at in the past, had video proof of and can be easily re-produced, then said it doesn't exist.

Go on a 100-200mi road trip and when you first leave, pull the e-brake up 4 clicks. Come back and the problem should be fixed.

:D:D

On the topic of e-brakes, it's a little frustrating that my first vehicle in 14 years that has a lever e-brake instead of a pedal or a switch is a high COG vehicle.
COG?

supply chain issues will get worse first, at least according to those looking into the issue at VW.
Staying at home is actually causing more health issues...... the solution - go back to work.
