My Dad was like that . He had air tools for everything except drilling and it was a corded electric Sears Craftsman drill He wore that thing out !! Me I am the opposite I like feeling the threads with my hands and starting them easy . If they don't start easy I know something is wrong.I hate using power or air tools to get threads started. I use my hands…..
And sometimes, depending on the situation…..I‘ll go old-school and just use a ratchet for the entire thing. I like being able to ‘feel’ the threads as you tighten and being able to stop immediately if something doesn’t feel right.
All that drives my husband crazy….He’s always in there with power tools just to save 60 seconds.
