Okay, so I’ve made it back to the lower 48 and as of today I’ve got 15,016 miles on the JT, in 70 days. Taking her tomorrow for her third oil change & tire rotation.

After I left Fairbanks, Alaska, I headed down to Denali National Park only to find it was totally socked in with low lying clouds, rain and fog. Continued on to Anchorage where I stayed a night at the Air Force Inn at Elmendorf AFB, then headed down to the Seward Military Resort for five nights. Seward is a fantastic area, with glaciers galore. Did a lot of driving around, as well as taking a 9.5 hour boat tour to look at wildlife and glaciers. It was fantastic.

Left Seward and headed back, stayed a night in Tok, Alaska, a night in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, a night at a hotel in the middle of no freaking where, Canada, then a night in Prince George, one in Kamloops, British Columbia, then crossed the border to the US at Abbotsford (selected randomly for extra scrutiny and expanded checks and searches, of course), then made it to the Navy Lodge on the old Seaplane Base on Whidbey Island, Washington.

I still get tons of questions, looks, stares, and people taking pictures of my Gladiator, it just doesn’t stop, lol.

After Denali I spent a week at the Seward military resort and it was fantastic. I would have stayed longer but wildfires on the Kenai peninsula generated so much smoke that it really became bothersome and obscured the views badly. So, back through Canada I came. Lots of great scenery all the way back, came down the western route and crossed back over just west of Vancouver. I made it back to the lower 48 and spent a few nights on Whidby Island, Washington. Navy Lodge at the old seaplane base in Oak Harbor. Got my third oil change and tire rotation in Oak Harbor at the dealership there. 15,050 miles at that time. Then went to the Pacific Coast to the Pacific Beach Navy Getaway Resort for five nights, then back to Whidby Island for two nights, this time at NAS Whidby. Left there and currently at my old army buddy’s place in Helena, Montana. Came across to Zmontana through the Northern Cascades, really beautiful country. Currently at 16,565 miles, and I’ve made two payments, lol!

I’ve got too many pictures, probably have to do another post to get more of them up.

Looks like you are doing great. I really like Seward a lot. Great vibe. Here is a shot I took when I was there a few weeks ago.

This is by far the best thread on this forum! Incredible journey, great pictures. I wish I can do something even remotely as cool as this in my lifetime! Awesome!
Thinking of making my way to Key West before I head home, might be good!

What an amazing journey. Many of us are living through your pictures as we sit in an office staring out the window wishing we were somewhere else, so keep them going.
