I do think Gator will be very much like Sting-gray in that it can look drastically different depending on not only lighting but the surroundings.

I am just curious here, not trying to start anything, but why is everyone so up in the air on this color. It has been said many times that the wayout is Gator. I know the render on the Jeep site does not look like it is the same but it is the same color I think, just darker. An honest question really.
I fall into the category of one of the folks who based my color decision on the jeep.com configurator only to later come across the thread stating the wayout concept is Gator. I see the wayout and the configurator as two drastically different colors and will be disappointed should the wayout assertion be correct. As was alluded to above, why would the configurator that the average consumer would use show something drastically different from the actual color? However, the fact may be the average consumer won't see Gator prior to it being on the lot so maybe someone said f it. I dunno.

I assume that, as has been stated the color changes with the lighting, and also reflections from the surrounding. You can see the color changes in the video of the Wayout. I know I used to have a F150 that was called saphire blue. It had red metal flake on blue paint. Yo would sear it was blue one minute and purple the next. depended on the light and angle.
Probably the same kind of thing.

It's a monochromatic paint. Just green and clear coat.

Totally agree with color looking different in different Lighting. When I was waiting for my ordered Sting Gray Wrangler it was the same situation. Folks were posting pic of theirs. On a cloudy day with no sun the Sting Gray looked like a dark to medium Gray and on a bright sunny day it looked like a light to medium Gray. I believe it's going to be very close to the Wayout Gladiator. Can't wait to see the owner pics start rolling in.

So I just got word that gator production started today actually. My source said "lots of them are being built". I'm getting excited!

I just tried again out of excitement, and got your vehicle should be entering the building process very soon. Ordered 9/21.
