It's sad that a switch and a couple of cam actuators are cheaper than a cable system.
But then we have to deal with the AutoPark system, whereas the electric brake type can just set the brake.

Kevin
We still have some sort of electric activation, even though the parking brake is cable actuated. We have hill hold, descent control, automatic emergency braking on some models, etc. So It could still work in that situation, if they chose to activate it that way.

I carry a gorgeous natural leather laptop bag. $250, but I simply refuse to carry the ugly black nylon garbage. I once dropped off our BMW for service (the stereotypes write themselves), and walked over to the bar/grill across the street for a beer and to do some work. I had no idea we had dumbass redneck bars so close to the city (I'm just around the border of the desert). Some drunk idiot started making "purse" comments and called me a fucking faggot.

I got my beer and said, "Yeah, I'm going to take my $250 purse out to the patio, and get my $2k laptop out of it. Then I'm going to drink a beer while billing more in one hour than you've made all week."

His friends are probably still laughing at him.

Also reality is that women LOVE this thing and want to walk over and touch it (super soft), and talk to me. Score.

They're probably still laughing at you telling them how much your bag and laptop costs.

Those features are operated through the primary braking system, probably by manipulating the ABS controller. Manual & electric parking brakes are an independent, redundant system.

True, but I just meant it could work in place of auto park, and keep the mechanical brake. I get how the parking brake works.

The fob is not my issue although they key does pop out and create... issues. With a MT if it stalls, which this light flywheel exacerbates, I want to reach and crank RIGHT NOW! No push and pray nonsense. Having to ASK HAL to pretty please crank my engine goes against the entire Jeep thing for me.
I figured out what the deal is with starting. The Clutch has to be right on the floor. Let it up an inch and it wont crank.
Oddly the "Push Clutch" message is NOT displayed in that situation which is confusing.

I think someone’s tin foil hat is a bit too tight. Might want to move up a size.
we're only about 17-0 for being correct about what's going on at this point, enjoy your great reset, we'll raise you one great awakening

watch how my posts age folks, oh btw, even getting support in the ole inbox so while many have zero interest in engaging publicly...they too are seeing what's really going on

I'll stop in every now and then and check on my fellow slaves to see how we're comin along. ;)

lol, it can be fun to joke about but the reality of what's happening is not funny at all, no one want's to say I told you so in this and we wish what we know wasn't true, being early to wake and becoming at odds with those still in the cult is no picnic, we wish we were wrong, believe that

and back to the topic, at least for a second, just remember you're liable for 'your' car and it's a highly dangerous thing boogying down the roads in 2.5 tons of death at 75 mph....hope some of you are catching on to maybe it's not such a good idea to have a vehicle that someone else can capture control of remotely or can have it's ability to start/run/stop wander away from both the vehicle and operator

carry on discussing all the wonderful tech as the same with other discussions, baffle em with bullshat as the saying goes, get off in the ditch discussing the weeds distracted...as usual, occams razor...we often get it right the first time with a simple solution, then we do our thing...and fac it all up, sure creates a lot of jobs though haha

What are the names of your horses, and what style of buggy do you ride?

glue would be the name of one if I had it ;)

drive a solid front axle manual transmission freedom machine, that no one can link to and shut down or control any part of it, it does have a floating key fob thing however, and that's why I started this thread, it's not cool to me having not having a direct link from the operator to the vehicle being started/run/stopped

enjoy baffling someone else with all your tech talk and discussing the next dandelion trying to deflect from how badly you've been duped into your own slavery and still on our way there one step at a time, I do agree though...bash the poster if you cannot bash the message, all good, we will see who's posts age and who's don't, wonder if when you find out the real reason behind that chip in your hand if you'll step up and say oops sorry? it's an ear tag bud, it's ultimate goal is to livestock you with the illusion of the opposite, welcome to the world we were born into, you're gonna have an extra hard time with what's coming down the pipe here, keep and open mind and lead with love, you'll get through it if you do

the ultimate survivors going forward will be those with the ability to unlearn and relearn again, keep hacking at me like I'm stuck in the past and you're ahead at some level lol, reality is I already took those steps, so far behind you think you're first, ignorance is bliss...and that's not a catch phrase, I mean that, I've been there, it's a much more peaceful place lol

ps I like tech, time and a place, my buggy is a 6x14' aluminum cargo trailer that I off grid camperized for me and my cubs, it's got 360w of solar to a pretty fancy goal zero power plant, some uber efficient Olympia wave lpg catalytic heaters and more, just spent the last 6 weekends in a row showing the kids what life is supposed to be about camping on the ice, turning off the plandemic, and catching fish through holes, living like men again, we all got pike over 40" and 20 lbs now, the goal was just to get one in the family, one of us got 2 so far and ice season isn't done yet, even looking at blue tooth tip-up alarms for next season so as I said, not adverse to tech but time and place and a vehicle which you're liable for and is very dangerous is not the time and place for air key (fob) or internet accessible to control (Tesla and many others as well)

it's like having a gun but the trigger isn't attached to the gun and could be anywhere, to be pulled by anyone...no thanks ;)

we giver out of that trailer year round now, hunt from it, kid's now filling the freezer, summer vacay, spring bear hunting also...year round man card filling stuff, lots of tech in our lives as well but you'll never catch me with a chip in my hand designed to limit mobility and life to social credit scores etc or someone else able to link to and control my horse, man you're in for the surprises of surprises

If you have a Gladiator, someone can "link to or control" it. Or, did you pay to have it removed?

wonder if when you find out the real reason behind that chip in your hand
I already found out. You don't understand it, can't answer any questions about it, and yet you somehow know what/why?

Not even a little bit. But, since you don't understand it, you already know everything. Dunning-Krueger.

gladiator sport-s, as far as I know they can only plug into it at the dealer, don't even have satellite radio, got it as basic as I could with a hard top and a hitch, haven't seen anything to suggest it has connectivity of any sort, just the stupid 'air key' doesn't suit my steed

ok so you're a communist then and looking forward to owning nothing and being happy

the crappy part of the plan is when it gets to the reset part and 7.5 billion of us get eliminated, but before that we need our ear tags and then the social credit system, then own nothing and be happy, and then they can get to the reset...see where you're at now? leading the way...under the illusion you're leading the way to better for humanity...nice

well I'm far less confused now, thanks for finally spitting that out

so far behind you think you're first

to throw gas on a fire, imagine a foreign country that has high tech abilities and they want to invade a place, sure is convenient to pay a few agency hacks to take over a car telemetry network and disable a few million cars and stop a population dead in it's tracks then it would be to stop them one at a time..... just saying. If gov'ts can hack into reactor sites what is stopping them from taking over a low security OEM server.

Anyone remember when 911 happened and all GPS signals were cut off until they figured out what was going on?

I'll go back to sticking my head in the sand.
