It might be a good idea to replace the hardware on the safety catch holding the front panel. That way you don't have to use tools to unlatch it. Maybe a thumb screw.

You are exactly right but you ever get something stuck in you head and now I think thats what I need.
I get that, I just know I’d hate not being able to fold it up against the cab and also being limited by it not being flush mounted.

I guess the only advantage for me is I also own a gmc 3500 long bed.

I was super close to buying one but then got super weight sensitive. I fat shame my Mojave so don't want to add another 100lbs because everything I add is MINUS payload.

I carry heavy Kodiak tents out camping, heavy Pelican coolers ....plus my fat ass, the skinny wife and 3 kids....my 1086lbs payload goes quick.

Well ain't that a bitch. Just when I was saving up for it, already being expensive, they hike up the prices.

Planning on gong with the HD when I do. Price hike kind of makes me want to go another route, I just don't care for other options.

I just took delivery of mine (an HD) about a month ago. I am very glad I decided to make the purchase. I don't haul a lot of large, tall items so I wanted it mainly for the extra security of my families things when we take the Jeep on trips. I do like the weight capacity for loading on top and I am sure I will use that in the future. All in all, I think it is a fantastic cover and I don't regret my purchase one bit. Install was easy with the exception of getting the bed rail caps off to install the shim kit. I ended up just buying replacement rail caps and ripping the originals off.

- Upsides - the bed is more secure than the cabin (if there is such a thing as secure)
- Downsides - need to remove it to put large tall items in bed but the upside to the downside is the cover can come off in a few mintes.
- Worth the money? - to me, absolutely!
- How was shipped condition? well packed, no damage at all. Delivered to me in Canada.
- Any comparable options - nothing that I have seen

The SE is stong enough for most. I'm 220lb and I can walk around on it. I ordered their extra cleats. They were easy to install.

I replied before about wanting the diamondback for my jeep after having one on my taco. I ended up getting a b stock hd version for my JTR. I have never regretted this cover. I use it to stack on every road trip. and have a full bed that locks. Mine also came with a high security key thats harder to pick. If I had to do it again, I might get a cap instead of this cover, but thats about twice the price and ruins sight lines from my rear view. I only wish there were more rack options that were made for this cover.

Just installed the Yakima Overhaul HD onto the @DiamondBack Covers HD. I won't go so far as to say it was easy, but like the cover, I did it myself without too much trouble. I'm not sold on the side cross bars as a permanent fixture as they prevent the cover from opening up, but I'm getting ready for an excursion and they'll work great for mounting and securing for the trip. Easy to remove them afterward. The ForeverWave flag system secured perfectly to the rear towers.

Now I'm trying to come up with a way to easily mount a hard cooler and other items onto the bed cover beneath the top cross bars (which will carry a tent, kayak, paddle board, etc. depending on the trip). I've thought about adding a couple of cross bars below the tall ones (just straight Yakima jet bars on standard mounts). Any ideas are very much welcome.
