Diamondback security rod adjustment

Forgive me if I missed this while searching. I just installed a DB SE on my Gladiator. With the panels lined up to where I believe they are supposed to be the rear (tailgate) security rods don‘t line up with the cutout plastic pieces on the bed. They are closer to the tailgate. Is this normal? Any pictures of your security rod location would be appreciated. Again, apologies if I missed this in another thread.
