I was at a Halloween celebration in LA, and someone knifed my soft top... I sewed it up by hand super tight, no patch, with the best outdoor thread, and put some silicone on the inside, and it has been fine for about the last 15 years.... No leaks.... You might want to try that.
Nice, I'm going to the outer banks NC next week if my son's health improves, so the Gorilla tape will be my go to for now. Then I'll look into more permanent options.

And ask them to make it out of kevlar, so the next time OP pushes a kayak onto it, it wont rip!
Would have to sell the kayak to pay for it. :facepalm:

At least it's not a discontinued top like the one I had on my LJ that rocky the raccoon decided to chew and rip up.
