Has anybody had any luck with Discount tires mounting the 35x12.50x18 or 17'' tires on their stock rims?
I don't need to hear about how the rim is too small for the tire blah, blah, blah lol. Just curious if anyone has
had theirs installed.
I will be going with an aftermarket rim soon but wanted to wait a while before spending more cash at the moment.
To buy the Lift+Tires+Rims all at the same time almost requires you to take out a second mortgage.

Mounted 315/70r17s (kenda walmart specials) on my stock Willys rims at discount tire. No issue, their chart said it fit and they mounted them just like any other tire. 100% recommend discount tire.

I called Discount and they said it was a safety issue but tried to sell me wider rims.
How do you like the Kenda's?

Well, if they're 35x12.50x18 on stock rims then yeah, not gonna work unless you have an Overland. What trim level do you have?

What aftermarket rim will you be going with? More often than not, people change to aftermarket rims that aren't 17", so it's an important consideration. And you want a tire that works well with the rim it's going on. Hard to flex one tire between two rims. I truly believe that there's not much point to mounting the tires on the stock rims if you're going to move them to the aftermarket rim anyway. You might as well store them until the time comes and install it all fresh, and beat up the stock tires in the meantime.

What's pushing you to do half of it now and half of it later?

Strange. I asked them when I showed up to get them mounted and they showed me their chart that said it was fine.

For $84 each these kendas are great. They do balloon on the 7.5” rims and rub a bit at full lock but Its more or less a non issue unless I’m pulling a U-turn. They are ATs and definable have less road noise than the MTs that came with the Willys.

Overland 18" rims. I'm not trying to put 17" tires on 18" rims or vice versa though. I just wanted to know if anyone had any luck with Discount Tire installing 35x12.50 on stock rims.
Huge cash outlay this month and taxes also coming up. Also happy wife happy life.

The fact they tried to sell you 17 inch wheels says it all. Go to a different discount tire.

Discount has mounted 37x12.50x17 tires on my Jeep bead lock capable wheels with no issues (same with my Raptor when I had it). They will not mount any true bead lock wheels.

I messaged Discount Tire on this site and they said they would'nt mount them to stock rims. I'm
going to go to a different store and see if they will. Luckily we have about 30 Discount Tires here in Houston.

Yeah I could see the profile not committing to saying that... thought you called a local store.

They mounted my 37x12.50s on my MOPAR XR beadlock capable wheels (they are little wider than stock so less bulging) for $$$ & i had to take the ring off coz their machine got stuck on it, especially on the bolts

Just recently got a new set of 37x12.50 17 mounted to my stock wheels by Discount Tire and it was great. They said I was the third one this month. No questions asked. Only issue is they had to use regular jacks as their floor jack wouldn’t go high enough to lift the Gladiator off of the ground.
