SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE AND LACK OF CUSTOMER SUPPORT AT FUSION AXLES!!! https://fusion4x4.com/
Bought a full set of Fusion Axles with one being a 40 Spline Semi-Float 60 Rear Axle Assembly for Jeep Gladiator JT and Fusion Elite HD60 Front Axle Assembly for Jeep Gladiator JT.
Before ordering I asked is the used Dana/Spicer gears, because I did not want to deal with another set of Yukon Gears grenading in one of my Gladiators axles. They said they used Dana/Spicer... but less than a year later and only about 22k miles and BAM... Yukon Gears strikes again... but this time with Fusion Axles at the helm of the build. Almost 20k spent with Yukon Gears and I'm just another victim of being a low priority customer because they already got paid. Looks like a trip to Holland, MI and see what options are available to file a complaint with the state. Looks like I'll be ordering Currie Axles to replace these expensive paper weights!
Now after contacting them and being told they'd pick up the rear axle and rebuild it and place another 1 year warranty and then ship it back... Going on a month and still have the axle sitting here at my property.
This would have all been avoided if they were to use Dana/Spicer gears as I requested. Now the story on my issue with Yukon...
Yukon may have been good at one time but since they are being manufactured in China and who knows where else they lack proper heat hardening through heat treatment processes like quenching and tempering. So if you actually overland and drive long distances the metal fatigues and then grenade. This was figured out by a reputable 4x4 outfit in Cummin Ga.
I have had the privilege of 4 sets of Yukon Gears grenading on two different Gladiators with Dana 44's and now in a Fusion 60 with Yukon Gears... and all I do is overland without technical trails that anyone would say contributed to this happening. My last Dana 44 with Dana Gears before upgrading to Dana 60's never had the problem with over 57k miles put on them with even towing a 6000lb small toy hauler/camper (it was small and carried 4 wheeler or bikes).
So you have been forewarned to say you from learning the hard way!
