Professional detailing once it's home. Look for somewhere that does ozone treatment. Another idea is baking soda over everything, leave it overnight, and shopvac it the next morning.

What I used to do when I was changing the kids diapers. I would rub Vicks Vaporub across the top of my up lip. The only thing I would smell is the Vicks, not the nuclear waste laying in a diaper. Think the OP can do the same thing until the smell is gone in a decade.

If the OP sells the JT. I wonder what the new owner will think on what happened in it. How do you describe the smell of rotting whale meat?

Ozium is actually pretty good stuff. You can find it at walmart if you look really hard, lol. I'd put some in every night until the smell is gone.

Vinegar , put it in a garden sprayer for the outside and also diluted to wipe down the Inside. Boric acid comes from the fermentation process of beer and turns into vinegar once diluted. If it doesnt work go straight to diluted boric acid. Easier to get rid of the vinegar smell than rotten sea creatures. Rinse off after a short period.

Okay, so it’s my understanding that the cabin air filters for the diesel have activated charcoal for odor control. You could try one of those. And if this was already suggested, I apologize for being redundant. Didn’t want to read 4 pages of whale stink comments.

It's all fun and games until your car smells like deceased sea mammal.

I will wish the op good luck though my parents had a small bit of pig blood soak in to their hummer after picking up a whole pig to roast. A few years later I still tey not to ride in the meat wagon as it makes me want to barf
