Had a 74 Bronco with the aux tank, main tank 12 gal aux 10 gal. Truck got 10 MPG still had a range of around 200 miles. With the gearing and tires the MPG was the same 2 wheel drive 4 wheel drive in town or on the highway. Man I miss that truck could fix any problem on side of the road.
I can relate I had a 77 Ford Explorer Pickup dual tanks about 18 or 20 and 25 gallon. I got maybe 12 MPG.... But as you said easy to work on.

Ah right ... seem pretty obvious now! :)

Thanks! :like:

The reason I asked was because 'LRA' also means 'Long Range Australia' and I have been talking to them and they are only about half way through having a product. If there was a LRA (Aussie) for sale in the US, I wanted to call them up and call 'rubbish'. :)

It’s actually the same parent company...started in Australia and branched out to the US.

They show a JT 17gal auxiliary tank on their site that is in development, for $2k.
I wonder if that will take the space of the stock spare tire?
In the video the spare stays in place. They had to modify the exhaust to make it fit.

‘Yes this is correct. We have received the tank and associated parts and they are awaiting installation on 1/8. If you look under your truck you’ll see a bunch of space where the exhaust runs down the bed. That is where the aux. tank is going.

Yikes!!! There is a reason the exhaust and fuel tank are on opposite sides of the vehicle. Hello Pinto.
