Does anyone make an aftermarket mildly "built" wide - Gladiator Rubicon M220 (Advantek Dana 44) axle with a locker? Every upgrade seems to be Dana 60 - at very high cost (Like $8k+ shipping/tax) and adds additional costs with the need for new drive shaft (Another $1-2k) if you go semi float - 5 lug and/or new wheels, driveshaft, parking brake if you go full float Dana 60 ($12-15k).

I see used Rubi stock takeoffs but I was hoping someone, somewhere had a lead on a quality - mid level built wide M220 / Advantek Dana 44. What say yee ?

I wouldn't know but its not all to hard to just weld some Artec brace kit and do some chromoly shafts. or find a local welder who can do it.

Fusion 4x4 offers a built dana 44 or a semi floater dana 60 for a bit more coin.
The 44 comes in 66.5" (non wide track) or 68" (wide track/rubicon) widths.
The 60 comes in 68" or 72" widths

Thanks. I'm not seeing a rear Fusion D44 - just a front. I'm guessing no one wants to compete with re gear shops. The Fusion price - $6700 is the best I've seen and I might end up going this way - still need a new drive shaft so looking at Probably $8k

For the rears they don't have a 44. Guess the market for a built rear 44 isn't that big.
Semi float is going to be weaker than an equivalent full floater but it's hard to justify the price jump to full float for many people.

Agreed. A weak 60 is pretty strong. The big hit for the axles, drive shaft, and new wheels with full floaters doesn’t seem worth it for regular people on a realistic budget, like me doing mild trails, camping, hunting, daily driver.
