I also have the brackets and I am really thinking about Triangulated 4 link for the rear. It' s so much better than it was before the brackets.

So we sort of went off topic here :CWL:

Going back on topic, would anyone know if there is a work around regarding the Rough Country TB coming into contact with my Synergy sector shaft brace? I read someone where someone grinded down his TB? But I don't know if I want to do that. Any ideas? If not I'm going to have to bite the bullet and buy the Synergy TB.
When installing my RC. TB I had to grind some of the frame side. 3 months and no issues.

I've drilled the knuckle on a JL and my JT with the same carbon steel bit without issues. It's still as good as new. Drilling wax and low speed are your friend. People try to run the drill at max rpms and then blame the bit.
I don't doubt it is possible.
If you get half way through and the bit wanders a little bit it WILL break. If you are drilling by hand tools. Trust me it happp

Good for you ; ) Going slow and all that is key, as I thought I was doing, but once you get 1/2 in in and deviate even slightly the carbon bit snapped. Good for you, but it happens.

You literally said "carbon steel won't do the job"? It will, it has multiple times for me alone and who knows how many others. It didn't work for you, but that doesn't mean it won't do the job. My experience alone disproves that. Most cordless drills have a clutch, turn it down a bit and you'll never snap a bit that large period. Your statement is clearly false.

Done here
You were clearly offended when I pointed out that carbon bits work fine for me? I don't think I was remotely hostile. You got all defensive with your "good for you" comments. Sorry if you're offended, just offering an alternate viewpoint to your statement that carbon steel bits WILL break. They can, easier than titanium, but that doesn't mean they will.

That is probably a question for @Minty JL
I drilled mine out with an M12 Milwaukee drill. The knuckles are not that hard. Lots of WD40 as you drill and no issues. I drilled to flip my MC piece

Thanks for that feedback, do you have any pictures? I did notice the roller bearing area of the brace is shaved down by the manufacture for TB clearance. This is not my photo, but from this angle it looks like that Synergy TB would clear with no problems, if thats the case my RC TB would definitely clear.

I didn't take a picture, but it is the opposite side of the treads inside of the bracket. Also the only reason I shaved it was because of the bolts from the track bar/Sector shaft brace was keeping it from going in all the way.

Let's break it down.
I said:
Carbon bits are not the best choice
You said:
Carbon bits are fine, go slow
I said:
Yes they will work but be careful
You said:
You are a jerk for saying carbon bits want work

I now say get a fucking life.

You’re simply wrong. You used phrasing like “go for it my friend”. You were clearly being critical. Everyone saw it. And now you’re handling it like this? You lose automatically because you lost your composure over and over.
