Drivers side heated seat not working.

Out of warranty by time and only 13k on my JTR with heated cloth.

When the button for heated seats is pushed, all three lights come on from 1-3 seconds and then they go off. No heated seat. Steering wheel and passenger side seat work as they should.

I have checked the fuses and pulled the seat and checked to connectors, no change.

i could not find a solution aside from take it in for warranty work in forum searches.

I would start at removing the connector under the seat so the heating elements are not connected. Then try the switch and see if it stays on , If it does you know you have a problem with the seat element and if it still turns off look from the connector to the switch. To eliminate the switch you could swap with the passenger switch.

I’m not sure which connector under here is the heat element, but the main plug disconnected makes no difference.

Pulled the seat. Have no resistance in the bottom heater and some resistance in the back heater. Leads me to believe the bottom one has a broken spot in the grid.

Back in business.

Same exact happened on my 2022 JT today. Scheduled for 4/1/25 to dealership troubleshoot. 2 month left on Basic warranty luckily.

My 2024 just did the exact same thing. It ran for about 20 minutes, then wouldn't turn on for more than a second. Heated steering wheel and passenger seat still worked. I restarted the truck, it works again. I'll have to keep an eye on it.
