Will I have any issues doing this. My bed was bedlined by the dealership and they didn't do a great job with it. Plus from me hauling cleaning equipment back there it's starting to look rough after 4+ years. I found a drop in liner on marketplace for $80 and talked him down to $50. Looks like it's in very good condition other than needing to be pressure washed a little. Plus side it's it's 10 minutes up the road from me as well. Just want to make sure I want run into any issues.

Like wearing two condoms, double protected, and you won't feel nuthin'!
That's funny! I'm just not wanting to spend $400 to $500 to have it bedlined again when I can maybe just toss a drop in liner back there, and for $50

There's another post her about the bed.

I tried a spray in in an earlier truck, I use my truck like a truck, and the spray ins did not hold up.

The constant touch ups became tiresome.

A drop in, no issues, no dents, and the wives' tales about rust, are simply that.

Not true.

I think your idea is smart, just like two jimmie hats!

I put in a rubber bed pad over my bedliner to keep things from sliding around, it fit in just fine.
Yeah, not concerned with things sliding around, I have a solution for that. Mines just beat up from hauling crap back there.

It would still protect the bed from additional damage, probably better than a plastic liner that can still abrade the remaining bedliner and paint - and it's available on Amazon.

My sides and all are beat up. Looks pretty rough. I've hauled all kinds crap back there that's why I was looking at the drop in this guy's got. He's only had it for 6 months and sold his jeep. $50 seems like a steal and I could still toss a mat back there. The rough country ones only $99

Well, considering that a drop in or bed mat are good. Heck I've got a bed mat in my Comanche bed on top of spay in bed liner. It definitely helps if you are throwing heavy stuff in it, or dragging the same in and out. I've hauled more than a few axles, transmissions, T-cases and engines on a the bed mat. I'm sure the bed would be beat to scrap if not.

Knowing how fragile the inner fenders are, a bed mat was out of the question.

Over fender and sidewall protection is needed.

The drop in bedliner permits a backer board to go in, in the stock locations for hauling stuph.

Too, there's always the points in the bed to tie stuff down.

Make sure if anything protrudes outside the bed, you attach an easily seen safety flag!

I like my drop in…. Stuff doesn’t rust in my dry ass desert so I’m not worried about that. I think I got taken to the cleaners for the price I paid, for $50 I’d throw the guy a case of beer too.
