Hooked up some recovery gear, did the first tension on the winch.

About 5 clicks on the Ebrake, and started running it about 4 wraps into the first layer. I'm used to running tuggers and managing rope on a capstan. So I just guided the rope as I wound it up. Heck, I even whipped my winch blanket on the line, lmfao!!!

It was fun. I can't wait actually test it out on a big pull.

Oh, and I bought 60mm long Stainless steel 12pt ARP hardware. Its on backorder though, so it'll be a bit until it comes in.

Additionally, for the Arcus install. 4 of M12x1.75 studs about 100 mm plus long would really make it easier to install. Use them on the inside top/bottom nuts and feed through the frame horn, and just slide on your stuff. Then run a nut on the top one to hold things snug, uremove lower stud, insert actual bolt. Then do the same for the top inside bolt. Would make things super easy versus tywraps and crap with getting spacers, the tow hooks, and the bumper skin on.

I think Iron Maiden every time 6's line up, lol

Well, I sent funds over to @TRVLR for his Mopar 2" lift kit.

So Im going Mopar for now, maybe bigger down the road, lol

Going to buy an ACT clutch instead of centerforce. @ACTman has been pretty active on here, and I would rather give them my business. Their Youtube clutch install is a big help as well!

Looking at running the Promass flywheel street/offroad disk setup. Last ACT clutch I ran was for a First gen CRX, slapped in my 1st gen Integra, lmfao! I had terrible experiences with SPEC clutches, not that they support this platform. Not sure if I want to roll dice with centerforce. ACT has always been a confident choice, really happy to have their active support on the forum as well!

Took the Wife offroading for the first time. Had a surprise day off, so got her in the Jeep and headed on over to The Two Towers Loop in Jackson NJ. It only has 1 real obstacle, and we did the loop twice, so I could run different lines. Jeep did very well. Bashed off the skid plates some, even got some scratches on the hitch skid finally, lol! The big discovery here, was whether or not my Wife would get carsick offroad. She did not, which opens up more offroading, and getting a buddy or two involved offroad as well. Should get some good wheeling in this year.

Some of the trails were kinda tight, hard to avoid pinstriping. We had to wait for a convoy of 15 New Broncos. TWICE. Saw a Bronco Raptor in the lot. Which was cool.

Recovered these two Jeeps. Winched them right out. No problems, thankfully! Guy got stuck pretty good, then the wrangler got stuck trying to help, of course, lol. It was pretty wet, and deep mud. I'll attempt this mud pit next time im there, ;)

I really need a better air compressor. Took forever to fill my tires back up. I ran 17 psi on all 4, and it did quite well.

So here is where im at.

OEM clutch sucks. It's terrible. Flywheel is too light. Made offroading more difficult trying to modulate throttle to not just bump and jump the jeep to pieces.

Need an ARB compressor setup

Lift and tires, of course!!! More ground clearance, and bigger/wider tires would make this thing pretty unstoppable in the terrain I have around here.

I ran Onx offroad for this excursion. It's overlay was off a bit, so there was a couple wrong turns I took, until I got used to the app. THe fact that the phone locks with it running is horseshit. Very annoying.

Mopar lift kit is here!!!

Figuring out what other components i should install at the same time.

Adjustable track bars, Rock Krawler spring correction isolators, and idk what else.

Tire/rim shopping.

Age old debate of 35's vs. 37's, lol

Leaning 37". Bfg K02, for the weight savings. If I can get a slightly lighter rim, I can cut the weight down with the upgrade, having more unsprung weight will keep it planted on hills. I dont want the increased risk of damage from the weight, and the decrease in performance. I will have to regear for sure. Prob 5.13's

I vote 35's. Don't need to regear, cheaper, lighter weight, easier to fit in spare location, easier to change for broken bodies.....

I want to regear regardless.

I can go 37" BFG K02 for just 3.5lbs increase over my 33" Wildpeaks. A 37" wildpeak is 20 lbs heavier than the 33". Which is wild!!!

Yeah the weight of the wild peaks is crazy and doesn't make much sense. Although I have a great dislike for KO2's. Have them on my TJ and they are terrible.

What about the new Baja's from Mickey?

Its tough to beat that K02 weight, 3 peaks, etc. I daily the gladiator so I need road manners. Not sure how the Baja Boss are on a daily.

Theres a great tire resource spreadsheet off the JL forums I have been using.

I do love these wildpeaks, but geez, heavy. Lol

That is an awesome resource!! Yeah I totally understand ya. I daily mine as well - but my work commute is literally 1 mile so often I walk in the summer - and can work from home as often as I want. But still like you said road manners matter. I have heard nothing of good things about the Baja's.

I know KO2's are also very popular - I'm probably one of the only guys who doesn't like them, but they are on a TJ so there is that.. Anyway, it's still a solid tire option! And that weight difference is a huge factor!

I am going to look into the MT Baja series a bit more, but with weight in mind, probably going to go K02. Just too sorted of a tire. I do recall them getting a bit noisy, but these are Jeeps not lincolns. Hardly a concern of mine. I just need 4 seasons and some rock crawling/mud, sand, roads. Literally, all terrains, lmfao!

Well, I was sent the wrong lift kit.

This is an "almost installed" 2018 vintage, 2 door Wrangler Mopar lift kit.

Appears a dealership shipped the wrong Jeep crate. Working this out with the seller.

So this is a rollercoaster of a transaction, lmfao!
