Eco Diesel lift

Even though it goes against everything I believe......I'm planning on installing a small spacer lift with shock extensions until I see a proper spring rate for the diesel equipped trucks.

Have you found a spacer kit and shock extensions for the eco diesel gladiator yet?

I’m going to go down to DC customs and see what they think would be a good solution for this diesel lift kit dilemma. I emailed metal cloak and they said they aren’t 100% sure the 3.5 gc would work and might only net 2.5” of lift. They said they were working on some heavier duty springs but didn’t say how long of a wait. My JTRD already bottoms out pretty easy In the front so I’m not to keen on putting a spring on thats not designed to handle the Extra weight.

Does anyone know if the rubicon shocks are the same for gladiator eco diesel and gas model? i know springs are different rate, but what id like to do is buy rubicon gladiator shocks, there from a gas model and put them on my ecodiesel gladiator

Well, I kept it simple with my eco sport S and wanted a 2.5" lift to run 37" bfg ko2's. I went with clayton and sent out 3.5" front springs in their ride right lift. I find it a better ride than stock..more controlled. I used the fox 2.0's and so far so good, great on road ride. To me of course!

How much lift did you end up actually getting, I was thinking about getting the 3.5 game changer and if I only net 2.5”-3” and it rides great and clears 37’s I would be cool with that and could shim it out w some coil spacers if it needs any extra height

Immediately after the lift while on stock tires, I measured exactly 3.5" of lift in the front and 2.75" of lift in the rear. When the smallish 37" bfg's went on - the front went up another 2.5" and the rear also went up another 2.5".

Out of curiosity......do you have the rates of springs you are running on your front shocks? JKU guys seem to run 250s and I was thinking JLU would be about the same. JT Eco diesel maybe 15-20% more....400 over 250?

That’s a great question. So I had the 20 jt gas and had king coils and it was 400/350 as I was pretty heavy up front with grumper and such. This round I had king weigh each corner with everything on it and it ended up being 400 top over 500 bottom. Its just perfect.

Awesome! I wasn't too far off for a gas rig and JTs are heavier front that JLs yes?

222lb combined rate on your setup crossing to 500lb. Never would have guessed a 500 bottom though.

Clayton lists their 2.5" gasser front spring at 188lb. I was thinking 10% higher axle weight as a guess for the Eco which would make me want a 20% heavier spring.....225lb.......right where you are at!

Now I feel like Im getting somewhere.

Yes they are heavier in front diesel jt vs JL front. Glad I could help! Yeah to get the 6inch lift and keep it firm enough the 500 was on top. Learned a ton by going to king and having them test things out. Also rebel off road knows Their stuff so it helped as well.
