The rear axle on my '23 JTRD has developed a speed sensitive whine that I'm pretty sure is the pinion bearing. I'm just over 60k miles so well out of the bumper to bump warranty, and haven't dug into the details of what is overed in the 100k powertrain warranty so being a little lazy and asking here first. 😬

Here you go. You want to look at page 8. Then it will also depend on the dealership you take it to. I have found some dealerships make it harder than others on warranty repairs.

On or off throttle?
Sorry just saw this...

Both. In gear and out of gear while coasting. Happens at all speeds and definitely coming from the rear of the truck.

Originally thought it was tires since they are close to end of life and were in need of rotating but zero difference since rotating and slowly getting louder. It's not my daily driver anymore so I've been debating doing the work myself or taking the chance on warranty coverage....

Go warranty. Mine is doing it off throttle only. I'm on the fence.
