Ecodiesel start/stop not available

Hello all, i finally found a 21 JTSD last week and drove it 800 miles home. i did notice the Star/stop function was not working with a light on the dash. I know there is a kit to disable it. My question is, is there a way to find out w/o taking it to the dealer?

If it was sitting the aux battery is most likely dead and your cause. I'd keep a jump pack with you and try going for a drive to charge it back up then see if SS works again.

i drove it over 800 miles home... lol over 2 days

Pull the codes on that check engine light if you can. AutoZone will do it for free. My bet is bad aux battery.

thats not an actual photo, just one i pulled off google to show the start/stop light. i have no CEL on
