I suggest you remove the aux battery all together before it leaves you walking...and it will. Your useless start/stop function will no longer work.

2020 gladiator sport “service start stop system”. Both batteries are good including the load test. F32 and F42 fuses are good. K8 relay is good. Light will not go off. Constant circled A with ! Any more possible ideas on the issue?
How old are the batteries?

Who did the load test?

Does the ESS screen show any message?

Did he check for any codes?

The ESS unavailable light and service message usually only shows when the Aux battery fails the startup test.

Check the high current fuse array on the end of the fuse box.

If you scroll to the ESS display on the center screen, does it show a more specific failure message?

Take a voltage reading for each battery after it has sat for a few hours, and after sitting overnight.

What is the system voltage while the engine is running, when first started, and after about 30 minutes driving?

Did all that and volts were the same as brand new batteries. While driving volts stay at 14.5+

The only thing I can think of, at this point, would be one of the components in the circuitry that does the Aux battery test. It could be some other issue with the engine, but I would expect a check engine light and codes readable with a scanner.

That’s what is stumping us. When the light came on, I bought two batteries right away, we pulled the existing ones out and tested them and they both tested exactly the same as the new ones. It’s a head scratcher. I have an appointment with the dealer next week to see if they can figure it out and charge me an arm and a leg. I’ll post the results

Maybe the relay box is stuck so that it is not able to get a reading from the Aux battery. Charging or replacing batteries usually clears the error. Something appears to be interrupting the current flow during the startup test.

With the key off, you can put your meter leads on N1 to ground and then N2 to ground, the voltage should be the same. Batteries should be in parallel. If you get 2 different readings, I would suspect n3 fuse, or power relay. Batteries are then separated and can not pass the start up test giving you the indication.
