I didn’t see this thread when it was originally posted, but for future reference if anyone who experiences this “ticking”, it could be a bad rocker. The 3.6 has a history of roller rocker failure. It’s an easy fix if caught early, but if left alone, can result in cam lobe damage. As long as it’s not one of the front rockers, they can be replaced by an average mechanic with $20 worth of parts. Just don’t let it go thinking this is “normal”.

2022 Jeep Gladiator diesel, 1977 cj5 LS swapped
I had a 2015 with the 3.6l and at around 40k miles went round and round with my local dealer.they would not authorize a teardown without me signing a piece of paper saying if nothing is found I pay for the disassembly. It was clearly a bad rocker/follower when it was hot it had a tick. I worry my new gladiator will have the same issue so I did purchase the Mopar extended warranty.
