I am no way against modifying my truck but how important can it be to keep 1 tbl spoon of oil from going through the intake of a diesel every 6K miles? I will most likely buy the catch can anyway though.
Won’t hurt combustion, but the issue is intake contamination. Oil mist mixes with EGR soot and slowly builds sludge on intake runners, swirl valves, sensors, and the intercooler. Adds up, and makes a difference over time, but will still result in certain bottlenecks and further maintenance down the line, just further down the line than normally... modern diesel thangs 😇

I just installed this last week after trying the ADD catch can, which they said didn’t cause a CEL but that was bull &@$& lie. No CEl after about 120 miles so far, this thing is great. I totally should have painted the mounting bracket, looks great. I am going to do that this weekend. This is expensive, but so far the only one that doesn’t cause a CEL and it’s definitely built to last. Only issue is since it’s coming from Canada, you have to pay the import tariff fees, about 100 bucks for me to California. So add that on to the price.

Understandable and in the bigger scheme, lets be honest, it is expensive, but so is the Gladi, so one can argue it's stomachable if it works
It sure ain't cheap!

LOL. I did not know how effective this effort would have been. The idea is to do things that help with the engines longevity by getting rid of recirculating its exhaust byproduct. We will see how long my JTRD lasts. So far it lasted 4K miles. Hopefully the stage 1 done early on with new ECU with this setup will help.

Ordered mine just before all the tarrif stuff hit the fan, didn't have to pay any extra dime on the tune or the catch can. EOC said they ate like 20 bucks to ship them to me than how they traditionally send stuff.

Dang, that would have been nice. 100 bucks was a lot, taxes on taxes really.

Yeah shipping was a bit to send it to them from Seattle, WA, I live like 4 hours away from their shop. I was about to just drive over.

I guffawed at this for real. :CWL:

I hate the idea of anything being regurgitated by my engine. I'd love to just have a CCV breather hose like my old 12 valve. And I keep wondering how I could do it...
