Won’t hurt combustion, but the issue is intake contamination. Oil mist mixes with EGR soot and slowly builds sludge on intake runners, swirl valves, sensors, and the intercooler. Adds up, and makes a difference over time, but will still result in certain bottlenecks and further maintenance down the line, just further down the line than normally... modern diesel thangsI am no way against modifying my truck but how important can it be to keep 1 tbl spoon of oil from going through the intake of a diesel every 6K miles? I will most likely buy the catch can anyway though.
